Notts County record over the last 10 games is pretty impressive.

P10 W8 D1 L1 F23 A6

I think its fair to say from Saturdays performance we can see why they concede so few goals. Only 6 in the last 10 games and over the season to date 6 less than Rochdale who are leading the table.

Unfortunately we are playing them when they are flying and it was always going to be a tall order to get anything from the two games against them.

However, for about an hour I felt we matched them, certainly defensively where I thought we were excellent, in particular Linwood against Hughes, with Hughes resorting to constant moaning. ( I know it cost us with his mistake, but dont let that totally detract from an otherwise very good performance from him)

It was only when our central midfield started to tire that the game changed. Sinclair and Peacock look extremely usefull and with a couple more games under their belts will certainly do the business.

My belief is if that we are no further than 8 to 9 points adrift after the County away game we can turn it around.  It may turn out fortunate that the first 4 games for the new guys were always going to be tough.

Just my two pennorth.

I think we should have got a draw at least, once the team has gelled a little more we will be beating most teams in the league.

Mike, I don't think it is going to be very long before we start seeing scouts from bigger clubs visiting Blundell Park to look at Tom Corner. This kid is destined for much bigger things. This season will be the season where he finds his feet in first team football and he is already showing signs of being able to hit the floor running. I am not getting too excited about him like people did with Pete Bore. I genuinely think he is a Premiership player of the future. -quoted from Conference 10

Titus Bramble is like that though. Generally has very solid games but often makes a mistake that will cost his team a goal. Linwood does generally have steady games but in my opinion he is always making the odd mistake like that.

The amount of times he strays from sticking goal-side, needlessly trying to be clever by nipping in front of the striker when it's played up to him to intercept it, is too much. This does work sometimes but the times when he doesn't do it in time or the striker has the strength to hold him off, it results in the striker easily turning him and he's away. Just stand him up, if he's not facing our goal he isn't going to hurt us. Just make sure he doesn't turn. He is often clumsy in diving into tackles from behind like this too.

Don't think he should be first choice in my opinion. Decent squad player to have, but Atkinson and Lancashire need to start the next game.

Other than that Stiggs, agree with the rest of your summary completely.

Mike: What name have they decided on?

Trigger: If it's a girl they're calling it Sigourney after an actress, and if it's a boy they're naming him Rodney after Dave!

Saturdays game was an obvious game of two halves, and the second half was theirs due to tiredness shown by the new players. Woods tried to counteract this with the introduction of fresh faces, if the players that he was forced to replace had been fit enough to stay the full period it may have had an impact on the game, just another thing that will improve shortly

We was unlucky. Woods made some right decisions but giving that c*nting murderer 1 chance at goal he'll take it 9 times out of 10

Would you keep the same squad for the trip to there place next week?
or would you bring Atko back in for Linwood? Would you bench Sweeney?

who would be a manager eh?

Is looking forward to a weekend away in Gateshead next season!

Hypothetical question until after the Brats game on Saturday, I`d stick with the starting 11 on Saturday and see what happens the first half team deserve that.
