Noticed a couple of ex-Town players who scored on Boxing Day whilst glancing through Sunday's NLP.

Serge Makofo gave Tooting & Mitcham the lead in their 1 all draw at home to Whyteleafe in The Ryman South and Kiernan Hughes-Mason scored Leatherhead's winner in their 2-1 win at Mertsham in The Ryman Premier.

with talk of us signing big, black French strikers from Steveange you may (or may not) be interested to learn that the legendary Oumare Tounkara is now blasting in the goals for Chateauroux in the French 3rd division, and playing in front of crowds bigger than he ever did at Stevanage or Gy. Having scored 11 in 19 for 4th division Drancy last season he moved up a league and presently scored 6 in 15. Two ways of looking at it i suppose; either the French 3rd division is utter tripe or Tounkara has improved his game beyond all recognition!

I sincerely doubt La Berichonne are getting more than an average of 4,000 in the French 3rd division. The French third division is similar to the Conference - it is a mixture of full and part-time teams.
