I'm not sure suggesting many Man Utd fans have only supported them due to their success is that satirically sharp is it? Up there with claiming that they're not from Manchester and Scousers are thieves. Of course you're right that they could be genuine.

Bit surprised they've taken the plunge to elbow him. Made it harder for themselves with the massive contract and the talk of how they're unlike other clubs and would give him time. Obviously don't trust him with the cheque book this Summer.

Moyes was well out of his depth at Man Utd. He achieved fook all at Everton, so what made Fergie believe he was the man for the job I don`t know.

So it made him look even better than he was

Those Twitter accounts are obviously 100% genuine.

I think it's the names that made me believe they were real, in the same way I believed waynegftc and big_twon_fan were real on here.

Just literal, unimaginative people. You can't expect everyone to be as imaginative as yourself when it comes to usernames!

It's a good parody but there's half a truth in it. Remember the guy who was on here a year ago saying he was going to watch Hull this season because it was better value for money. Wonder if he did it?

Well obviously yours are the highest standards Rodley, but I thought the Twitter accounts satirised both Man Utd and some of their fans (come on, we've all met them) and Twitter in an amusing and clever way. Obviously, if you think it's stereotypical and hackneyed, then I must be out of touch and a poor judge.

Exaggerated spoofs of fans maybe but then we are dealing with a strange new breed of fan that believes that high profile displays of bombast and idolisation (The Chosen One banner) is the height of football "fandom"  (if that's a word).
That they're then let down and embarrassed by their sporting "Gods" leaves me in no doubt they will jump ship, you don't want your successful-team-supporting workmates taking the p**s on Monday morning, after all.

I've not followed either accounts personally Chaos so they may be very witty - I was only commenting on what was shown here, and in particular that some posters believed it to be genuine.
