                         Last Season            This Season
Wins                  23                          22
Losses                9                           12
Draws                14                          11
Goals +              70                          65
Goals -               38                          51

Obviously not counting the Braintree last game, but those stats go to show we've missed a consistent back 4 all season! Shipped some stupid goals at key times. Macclesfield at BP was gutting for me.

The funny thing is that we currently are 6 points behind last year's total points, yet in the playoffs it's anyones! I just hope we avoid Halifax on the way to promotion. They are formidable at home

But we still have one game to play, so we could just be 3 points worse off than last season. At this stage last year with one game to play we had 80 points, this year we have 77. So at the moment we are only 3 worse off.

Clearly what we should do is deliberately lose 9-0 to Braintree and hope that Halifax lose to Kiddy and Gateshead get a point against Cambridge. That way, Halifax wouldn't be in the playoffs.

That would be hilarious! Would serve the cocky b@stards on their forum right for thinking they're up already.

We've only conceded 46 this season in the league or are you forecasting another 5-0 defeat at Braintree?

I personally don't like the like/dislike button, can people use it who act as guests or do you have to be a member to use it, 2 posters recently gave me negative reputations for no reason at all. If i was abusive i could understand but i'm not.

I'd prefer the like/dislike button to show an average score with the amount of 'votes' in brackets, so a post with 3 likes and 1 dislike reads as:  +2 (4)

Totally agree - just a crazy way of antagonising people and potentially putting them off posting.

The negatives I've had won't put me off Codger

If someone doesn't agree with me that's their look out...I'd rather they argue a point than just give me a negative rating to maybe see if they can persuade me to see things differently, but in all honesty what I think isn't going to be swayed by some negative snipes

It would be a bit boring on here if we all agreed with each other,

BUT

We do not need the like or dislike butons imo.

I agree very much with the above.  I think the different opinions on here are good and even if I disagree with people and sometimes people make me want to bang my head against walls but that is part and parcel of people holding opinions and why I genrally enjoy reading and discussing events concerning GTFC on here.  I also agree about like/dislike buttons, I am not as keen on.  I have found myself nervous over the past couple of days as I noticed I had a flawless record of likes/dislikes.

However I will stick my neck out and in response to Acko's original post that turned this thread from a discussion on last year vs this to a debate on liking or disliking stuff: I agree, Town should fear nobody!  I am not overly confident going into the playoffs but know that none of the teams in the playoffs are miles better than any others and we can definately win! Jeez, two 'dislikes' for saying that! Sort of underlines the point doesn't it.
