Another good signing. Pleased with everything so far, but like everyone else hoping a decent striker will be signing soon. What about Ryan Bird?

Quoted from ScottyUTM

That's as a winger tho? Given the chance up front he might be able to add to that. Does anyone no if it's a season long loan with the view to a permanent move?

We had a certain Stuart Brace play for us in the late 1960's and early 70's and he was a winger but had a great scoring record. 1969-70 season 25 goals from 46 appearances, 1971-72 23 goals from 51 appearances and 1972-73 20 goals from 48 appearances. I don't care where the goals come from as long as we score them.

As I've said on the other thread, I wonder if there's the option of recall? Would be a blow to lose him halfway through the season if he's playing well.

When Cambridge played at BP (in the league) he played centrally, just off the striker.

If we played with one striker and Nielson, Arnold and Mackreth rotating in the 3 positions behind (with 2 of Disley/Brown/Paddy deeper) that would be interesting.

No Davmariner, seaon long loans dont have recall options only 1 - 3 month loans that do.
