Scoring from long range has been one of the missing ingredients from the team for some time but we now seem to have that in our armoury, as well as good corner taking and quick through balls between defenders. All the elements that were missing for months, have suddenly appeared, at least for now anyway. Let's hope we can keep it going.

I was concerned about a Gateshead fightback in the second half and to kill the game off so soon after the restart felt ace. Either that or LJL's opener against Alfreton. Firstly it was a wonderful finish, but mainly because it felt like we were going to carry on where we left off, which is obviously how it worked out.

For quality teamplay, definitely Clay's first yesterday. It reminded me of Cockerill/Cunnington goals in the 1st Buckley era!
