Pontoon Buster - Game 2 - Won

Another fantastic response, thanks to everyone who has entered again. 58 entries this time giving a pot of £580. 25% of this (£145) will be donated to The Mariners Trust leaving us with a prize pot of £435. The winner (or winners) will win (or share)  £315.00 and there will be 2 prizes of £60 to the lowest scoring team (or teams) at the time the  pot is won and also for the first team (or teams) to score nil on 3 consecutive weeks. If this prize is not won it will be added to the pot for the next game. Any team that wins the "3 nils" prize will not be eligible to win the lowest scorers prize.

A quick reminder of the rules.

The winner will be the first team, or teams to score EXACTLY 21 goals. Only games between Friday and Monday count. If your team plays twice during this period then only the first game will count, If for any reason your team doesn't play between Friday-Monday for any reason (i.e postponements or international breaks) you score a default 2 goals. If a game is abandoned for any reason, then the score at the time of the abandonment will be taken.

If your team plays on the Friday or Saturday and you get the goals to make exactly 21 you must wait until the other teams have played that weekend, in case anyone else also scores 21.

Go over 21 and you are bust and out of this particular game.

Chesterfield and Gateshead surge to the top of the fledgling table after big wins today. The "3 nils" prize took quite a long time to be won in Game One but there are no fewer than 6 teams in with a chance of winning a share of the prize next week after a 2nd successive blank this weekend.

Not many goals about today apart from Stevenage who leap to the top of the table with 5 goals today. With the international break and a couple of postponements, there were quite a few default 2's this week.

Of the 6 teams in with a chance of winning the "3 nils" prize, 3 of them (Birmingham, Hull and Leicester) all scored the default 2 and Braintree and Sheffield United both scored a solitary goal and Woking scored 3 on Sunday. Only Crewe Alexandra (Moosey Club) can win the prize next week.

Crewe scored on Saturday so the 3 nils prize wasn't won. Only 1 team has a chance of winning this next week and rather surprisingly it's League One tabletoppers Bristol City (Stevieh) who are away at Peterborough on Friday evening.
