Looks like we'll probably end up with a better away record than that at home. At the moment we've won 12 drawn 6 and lost only 3, meaning we have 42 points out of 21 games, or exactly 2 points per game on average. If we get 4 more out of the last 2 games (want 6!) we'll end up with 46 points. Is this the best we've ever had? I certainly can't remember anything like it before, indeed, when I started watching the club in the early 1960's we always seemed to have an excellent home record but couldn't win an argument away from home.

Is it a record?

No attempt at ethical or social seduction can eradicate from my heart a deep burning hatred of the Tory party. So far as I'm concerned they're lower than vermin. Aneurin Bevan.

I've seen to only away game this season we have failed to score in. That this was back in August is amazing.
We are within touching distance now, and I'm shitting it.

I can't remember us getting anything like this for such a huge chunk of a season. 48 points would be incredible (and would mean we'd beaten Southport, a rarity in itself)

78/79 and 79/80 were 37 and 32 points (if it was 3 points a win). 89/90 and 90/91 were 33 and 32.

We won 8 out the first 12 away games in 05/06 but then only won 1 out the last 11 (so I'm not sure why I mentioned it really)

If we can win the next 2 games,

It will be the best ever away record.

In fact if we only win one and lose one it will still be the best,

BUT

W 14   D  6    L  3

Would be one of the best ever for any English team  I would think.

Over recent times we've always had a decent away record...not really sure why but we have.

Oddly enough I'm always confident when we play away. May be its the lack of pressure? May be its the way we play? Who knows?

Fleetwood picked up a ridiculous 56 points (18-2-3) 3 years ago. Don't know if that's a record?
