Alan has turned down a new contract at Braintree and is talking to a third party,

I wonder who they are ?

He has done a great job at Braintree but they did not offer him a rise.

I hope it will not concern us next season.

They're all good shouts. It'll be somebody non league, within 50 miles of London and with a few quid to spend.

What sort of financial state are Braintree in? Devonshire took over after they were promoted to the Conf. He'd done well with Hampton before that (almost taking them up to the Conference in 2009) but the Beavers were massively overspending and have been paying the price since.

Just wondering if Devonshire is a sort of non-League Redknapp.

A bit harsh...it appears that Devonshire has some level of tactical ability and can fill in tax forms all by himself...
