Yeah I agree I wish him all the best. Just a shame he never got a run of games in his natural position.

He was at his best when he wasn't in the team.

Never saw him do enough to warrant a regular starting place.

I agree, he got better the less he played.

last season when he was on the bench or in the stand everyone was saying how good he was, but when he did play, he didn't get upto much

Will do better there if they maintain their pass and move game.

Good luck Paddy, shame you never a run of games in the centre.

I'm with you on this Ginny

There is a good player in there if he's not used as a square peg in a round hole

No slight on Hurst using him out on the left  but I don't think he was ever going to do it out there, a bit similar to the situation Frankie Artus was in

Anyway we move on...Town have let other players go in the past and we've coped with it and I think we'll do well enough without Paddy

Best run for us came when he was used on the left of a three early last season.

Don't think he had the physical game to be dominant in a two-man central midfield, nor was Hurst prepared to adjust the formationn to suit his game.

If he goes there as a like-for-like replacement for Oster, I think he'll be an excellent addition for them.  Never going to be one who tears round the pitch and flying into tackles but given that role at the base of the midfield he can dictate play.
