McKeown is no more than a Conference keeper. Think some have a vastly over rated opinion of how good he actually is. Yes hes a good shot stopper, but then you balance that with taking command of his area, physical presence, distribution, concentration. Hes been a good keeper for us - no doubt - but his form has been on a gradual decline for 2 seasons. IF you go to games with a balanced view, and look at opposition players and not just our own, you'll see a few keepers doing a very good job at this level. McKeown is struggling at the mo, we have a vastly experienced keeper who can fill in until McKeown sorts his head/form out.Warrington is advanced in years but can still do a job. Remember John Burridge?

Feel good factor gone in the first few weeks shocking, I feel for the season ticket holders.
Some season ticket holders travel 130 miles for each game. They must be mental.

Oh I don't doubt there are those who come from further afield.

I definitely remember Kevin Poole..... Break the bank to get an out of favour keeper in on a 3month loan David James needs the money.....!

| Christ you all wanted him sacked a few months ago. 6th place finish and he's now the messiah and can do no wrong Update: I think I've got this right - He was the messiah. He then wasn't. He then was again. Then it turned out he actually wasnt. He turned into one big huge messiah again. Now he's not actually the messiah we thought he was . Now I'm hoping he rises again quickly |

Without going on about Macca to much
The lad has lost his ability to make the right decisions which is costing us goals and points,
Most games we have had most of the play so he needs to concentrate more when the ball comes into his area,
He is making the wrong decisions time and time again,
The illness has effected him imo,
What he needs now is a good rest to fully recover,
Yes he might be fit but he is not right,
A couple of weeks on a beach in a warm country will do him the world of good,
Then come back slowly and regain his confidence and his ability to concentrate,
A loan keeper from L1 would love the chance to play in front of our great fans rather than the odd reserve game,
Once Macca has fully recovered he will be the keeper we all know and love.
It is nobodies fault he came back too quick with that type of illness you do not know how it will effect you.

I have been one of those that was trying to be positive, not positive for the sake of being positive but positive because I could see that weren't that far from going on a good run.
If the players want Hurst as manager then quite simply they have to prove it, otherwise Hurst will be out of a job if the continued lapses whilst dominating games continues.
We need players who can perform in front of big crowds (at this level), the recent hard work of both players and fans is quickly eroding and we haven't played anybody of note yet.
Hurst, you need to admit your mistakes you are turning fans against you by being stubborn and unnecessary tinkering, our league position proves that.
You play your best side, you play the side that battled with 10 men, why because they had forged a mindset of up and at them and never gave up. You destroyed that with wholesale changes and saying some are bit leggy.
Get a grip Hurst, no more excuses.

I like McKeown, I think he is a good goalkeeper, he just needs to get his confidence back. He has given us very good service for a long time now. But, many of our fans have said he's the best in the league time and time again, but I actually think the conference has plenty of good goalkeepers, so he's not out there on his own by a long stretch. I'd love to know if the illness is still affecting him, but surely PH wouldn't play him if it was?!

Macca should have punched it for a corner or throw in. The one at Alty he should have just left to go out. He loses his bearings all too easily. I'm still shocked at how far to one side of the goal he positioned himself at a free kick in one of the pre season games ( i think) and the striker just plopped the ball into the unguarded side. He also gets beaten fairly regularly with low long range shots. Happened a few times last season. I don't think he's been the same since Croudson left.

Shocking colour shirt too. You've got to be good to wear that!
