When Jacksons name was mentioned on here I recalled that a friend had told me that Hurst had stated recently that Jackson was one player who had really impressed him, primarily due to his pace. He mentioned Deverdics too but said he was likely to sign for Hartlepool.

Maybe Les can confirm because I am he was present at this time?

Kenny Davis, Braintree captain has moved to Boreham Wood. A very sidewards move, thought he would of held out for a league club but money talks.

must be something about Braintree captains - Alan Massey was their skipper of 14-15 and did similar, he actually moved down a divison to play under devonshire at maidenhead.

Davis' move looks backwards to me. Moves from play off losers to relegation battlers, don't get it

Liam Hearn drops two divisions and signs for Ilkeston FC.

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Wow we really did get the best of him. Quite sad really how it's unfurled for him.

There's obviously something not quite right with him. In terms of ability, he was definitely good enough for the FL. Still, after the way he left us, sod him.

It's called spending 2 and half of 3 years out injured.
