Why no devit or hannah
Posted by: bradzmilne, March 5, 2013, 7:27pm; Reply: 2
Something bizzare is going on with Devitt - anyone with any knowledge of football knows his twice the player of Colbeck (to be honest i quite rate Joe but Devitt is a class above at this level).
Surely he still isn't injuried? Or lacking so far behind in match fitness? Strange...

yep.

how colbeck gets infront of devitt is bizarre...

unless of an injury but very strange.

Think Colbeck is in for his defensive game,he provides a lot more cover for the full back than Devitt.

I can understand no Hannah, due to his lack of form at the minute.
But Devitt, very strange but I'm sure HandS no what their doing anyhow

Don't think  Devitt has lived up to expectations since he came back, however he is better than Colbeck going forward. Colbeck is better defensively and thats probably why he has the nod tonight. Thye play 4-3-3 I believe.

Don't think   there is anything bizzare in it

I also prefer Matt Dean to Tondeur. Shame to hear us wasting set pieces with poor delivery. A consequence of dropping Hatton perhaps. Sounds like Rob Scott is charming folk as usual.

Brodie needs to be careful after being booked - it would be typical luck for us for a ref to find a small minor offence to be enough to drop us to 10 men!

what a great result for town tonight, am happy as a pig in shite.  kidderminster lost, what a bonus, ok so newport got out of jail again, but look at thier match stats and on the balance of play to have that many shots at goal away from home and you deserve to win.
This has not taken the gloss off a fantastic result for town, and for all our moans and groans regarding wrexham, newport etc the facts of the matter is that town can only affect the results of our own matches and by 'eck we are getting good at that just lately. looking forward to saturday now, keep the faith UTM well done lads.

With Kiddy losing tonight and us winning, it takes the pressure of Saturday abit, they are our bogey team in the BSP, but if they won tonight and beat us Saturday we could have been 7 points behind, now if we lose we will only be 4 points behind with 3 games in  hand.

Hoepfully we finally get a result over them though and put to bed their title aspirations. Our record against the top 8 sides this season is very impressive so we shouldn't be fearing Kiddy anymore.

Posted by: TWAreaTownSupporter, March 5, 2013, 10:01pm; Reply: 231
I think Thanoj (judging by the commentary) came into his stride more and more as the game moved on. He could probably exploit the space more than Niven.

But we still need Yard Dog MkII.

If we beat kiddy on Saturday that would be a massive blow to them. The teams around all have games in hand and show no signs of easing up. A defeat is a far bigger blow to them than us in my opinion.

If we get 6 points from these 3 key games happy days, 7 would be great and 9, well...I say get that party started...lol

Spot on x 100 !

Whatever happens (and I've already predicted a win) we've already bagged 3 pts.
It's a flipping HUGE relief !  :)

If we beat Kiddy we're 2 point clear + 3 games in hand on them !  ??) :)

Let's not get TOO carried away though cos Hurst may a fair point and said it could be their "blip" - and he may well be right.

But let's be honest here, he's a "feet on the ground" bloke anyway (quite rightly)
We'd be a lot more nervy had we drawn and they'd won again.

Think that result has finished FGR off now as contenders and barring a disaster, we are almost guaranteed a play off spot at the very least. If we beat Kiddy on Saturday (have we ever beaten them?), that will cast them adrift slightly and up our chances greatly.

All getting tight now and we could really do with a winning streak to shake off a couple of teams.

Exactly !

Just wonder though, are they more likely to want to win NOW their unbeaten run has gone ?
No idea but sometimes teams who don't want to LOSE (their run) "tighten up" so to speak.

Well god knows tbh but I'm not overly worried.
Give me a bumper crowd and fervent home support any day.
We know 2 losses on the bounce won't do them no favours for sure.

Yeah saw that as well, been browsing a few boards, Wrexham give me the impression there home and dry, don't they have to play any of the top 6?  If we won our games in hand we go top 2 pts ahead of Wrexham 3 ahead of kiddy but level with Newport.
Posted by: Mrs Doyle, March 6, 2013, 7:29am; Reply: 250
This is the best way to approach these last games every battle is a massive win and against a rival like Kiddi would be a massive result.

That would be a major blow to their promotion ambitions. I am too frightened to look at the big picture just take every game as a cup final must win game and don't worry about Newport,Wrexham etc.

Come on lads you can do it keep going. UTM
