So who is playing then ? :)

Without causing debate on whether or not he should be in the squad, does anybody now believe something really has gone on behind the scenes with Devitt?

Mckeown

Hatton Pearson Miller Thomas

Colbeck Naylor Artus Marshall

Hannah Cook

bench

Taylor, Wood, LJL, Hearn, Thanoj

No idea as of yet, presumably:

McKeown

Hatton/Wood  Pearson  Miller  Wood/Thomas

          Taylor    Artus        Naylor       Colbeck

                       Cook       Hannah

With Niven, Hearn, Marshall, LJL and whoever's left out of Hatton/Wood/Thomas

*edit: 2 changes:Colbeck and Marshall for Disley and Taylor

^^^ I'd probably go with pontoonlew's line up except Taylor for Marshall

Possibly though he has been pretty garbage and looks like a malnourished child.

Somebody mentioned that he had been a bad time keeper and maybe other off field problems,

No idea if true.

I agree he's not been as good as we know him to be, but he's still had flashes of excellence which you'd rather have in your team than out of it imo.

Depends, I think he really struggles in the defensive side of the game in this league, shirks a lot of challenges and with that in mind I wouldn't have him in the team when on bad form as he's more likely to cost you a goal than get you one. Just as an example, some people were apoplectic when he wasn't brought on at Wembley but for me, we'd have probably lost if he had been cause he wouldn't have pressured them enough and given them time to do damage. Just my opinion.

I honestly can't remember the last time Town started a game well.

That good first half at Mansfield apart (a game we went onto lose anyway), when did we last start brightly and boss the first half?

My theory as to why we never start well is that we keep changing the starting line-up and that can't help team cohesion.

on what basis are you blaming hatton for the goal, did he prevent the cross no, did he not pressure the ball no, oh yes he got beat in the air by a player who probably had a run on im and a very good cross, behave yourself, your not at the match and neither am i , so why blame hatton?

Ive seen enough, and he isnt good enough at this level, not on his own, but he is the worst imo of a very poor bunch of players

i started a thread last night asking if anyone else was concerned we still might not make the playoffs, well its no looking so ridiculous a thread at half time is it? thank god forest green are losing as well, as town just not with it today.
hope they change the formation in the second half and have a go at them as they are dominating possession, and territory and quite simply outplaying us right now.   c'mon need to change something and have a go at least. we can still get something, just need to up theskill level and get settled on the ball more.  not unachievable just hard work thats all.

Were you there or have you forgotten already? The players who were already on the pitch didn't pressure them (at all) and sat back too deep on our 18 yard box which allowed them to do the damage which led to the penalty

Hatton, 1 defender having to mark 2 forwards, one of which is giving Pearson a tough time. McKeown seemed to dive over the ball for the first. It's like watching a team with nothing to play for and all contracts signed v a team needing the win. The officiating is appalling too, not that that's our problem. They close us down we constantly sit back and let them have all the time they want
Posted by: Meza, April 6, 2013, 4:00pm; Reply: 74
I'm starting to get fed up with the managers tactics, they are really showing how incompetent they can be if you look at the teams above us they haven't done any unforced squad rotating (I checked on the BBC website) except we're injuries or suspensions occur.  I'm sick of this 'oh lets wait till half time for our hair dryer treatment'  it's getting boring.  I hope they don't bring Hearn on and expect him to dig them out of the excrement.

Can you see us win the playoffs not on your nelly.

They should of got a midfielder when they had chance, not sure why they got Wilson.

crikey a lucky draw, i will take that.    was unsure about cleveland taylor when he signed as i had seen him play a few times in the flesh  before, but in 3 games he has one goal and one assist, not too shabby a start to his mariners career is it?   and justifiably keeping devitt out as well i think.

FGR are really inconsistent, I don't think they ever had it in them to trouble us. The top 5's been sorted for months now, but we've had a wobble and are still coming out of it, and Wrexham seem to have the jitters big time. A full strength Town team would see us catch them and Newport imo.

2 points from 12 at home................is that really acceptable, 3 of those against teams below us?

No it isn't

Did many leave the ground before the goal??(as they do pretty much every game which really gets on my nerves)

big difference between a Full Strength side, and players performing on a consistent basis, which hasnt been happening.  No one not even the managers know what the best side is at the moment.....hopefully the big plus is the more minutes for Hearn, he and Cook could turn it round.

Took my mind off that last 5 minutes of commentary by looking on their forum to read "Will that disallowed Goal against Grimsby on New Year's Day cause us to be relegated"

Yes, that goal is why you're 6th from bottom and -9 GD(icon_rolleyes)

Think they mean they were robbed of two extra points which could potentially make a big difference.

I think any team could point to a certain incident and say that though.  And with refs like Joyce at BP today, it's nothing more than a lottery sometimes as to what you'll come away with.

But what should we do about it? Sack the managers, sack every single player? Stop looking at the last few games, 73 points in 42 games is completely acceptable by my standards.

Think so, but still only went some way to avenging the draw at BP back in the league when two blatant handballs by Lincoln were waved on by the ref. Swings and roundabouts really.

anything that means Tondeur doesnt use the words poor ball, more than 50 times in a commentary would be an improvement.

Feel exactly the same, lets take the positives from today's result:

The unbeaten run continues
Momentum carries us forward to the play offs
We didn't lose, we kept on fighting to the end and that 7 points out of 9 this week.

Disappointed with the result - yes, but my glass is half full.

Keep the faith - UTM

No we can't do that we're all supposed to be miserable that we're only 8 points clear of 6th place with 4 games to go. We're doomed, doomed I tell you  ;)
