just got in from work, gutted i couldnt get a swap or would have been there for sure tonight. Hoping for a win of course but a point wont be a disaster, just not a defeat please lads, good to see hearn getting a start shame on hannah as he had been playing well, but that will bring cookie to the bench hopefully and he will be chomping at the bit to get on and get a game to remind the managers why he was top scorer last year. C'mon town, only 3 points the same as any other game but psychologically this is massive. just about to tune in on t'internet now. UTM

On a knife edge, but more encouraging from Town.

We don't seem to move the ball quickly enough, having said that though they do sound as though they are hard working and are getting players behind the ball quickly.
Come on Town, 45 minutes left to take the game to them and get the winning goal!

Non local match news - Pond just scored for Fleetwood - quality defender - sadly for us , needed to be playing at a higher level.

It's the curse of the higher-than-normal attendance. We just don't get the results when there's a bumper crowd inside BP.

That is the thing with teams who are in form, they always get luck on their side

Its the penalty miss incidently who missed the penalty Hatton?
Posted by: RichMariner, October 8, 2013, 9:28pm; Reply: 35
Given the quality of the opposition, it sounds as if we've done ok. The response to going 1-0 down has been good. Shame about the missed pen though.

Pearson will be suspended following his yellow.

You're right, since we have gone behind we have played much better and taken the game to them. Hopefully we will come back stronger from the game and the Shop will get over it quickly.

Final score 0-1, disappointing but I'm over it.
Gotta take the positives from the good first half and the much better second half. Come on Town, there's still loads to play for this season and we must keep believing!

sodomist, sounds like we played pretty well tonight. Hopefully Cambridge slow down at some point.

It usually takes a defeat to disrupt a form team, unfortunately it wasn't tonight, but it will come. We can take positives from this game, since Rob departed we've improved and I expect that to continue.

Agree - all teams have a bad spell during a season. Also, we would have probably expected to have taken two points from the last two games, so we're up on where I thought we might be. Tricky away match at Salisbury coming up, but we can bounce back.
