50 entrants is amazing which give us £500 in the pot. As agreed I will donate 25% of this (£125) to The Mariners Trust which leaves us with £375 to play with.

This will be split as follows -

The first team to score 21 goals exactly will win £275

The lowest scoring team at the time the game is won will win £50

The first team to score nil on 3 consecutive weeks will also win £50.

Please note though that if you win the last prize you will not be eligible to win the lowest scoring team prize which will go to the next lowest scoring team if the team that gets 3 nils is also the lowest scoring at the end of the competition.

Obviously if there is more than one winner of any prize, then the money will be shared equally.

If by chance the 3 nils prize is not won, then it will go into the pot for the next game.

Also, don't forget that if your team plays on the Friday or Saturday and you get the goals to make exactly 21 you must wait until the other teams have played that weekend, in case anyone else also scores 21.

Go over 21 and you are bust and out of this particular game.

If for any reason your team doesn't play between Friday-Monday you score a default 2 goals. If your team plays twice between Friday-Monday then only the first game counts. If a game is abandoned for any reason, then the score at the time of the abandonment will be taken.

There was one week in the middle of those games where it was an international break for the top 2 Division and Burnley didn't play.

The rules of the competition state that if a team does not play, for any reason, on any weekend then they score a default 2 goals.

Norwich move to the top of the leaderboard this week and are now within striking distance of winning the competition.

Both Kidderminster and Millwall who had a chance of winning the "3 nils" prize both scored today but Burnley still have a chance tomorrow. If they fail to score at West Brom tomorrow they will win the £50 prize outright. However if they do find the net then there are 4 teams in with a chance of winning next week. They are Big Chris with Cambridge United, Hertfordshire Mariner with Swansea City, Dave Roberts with Nottingham Forest and Pizzzza with Sunderland.

Ok, we're getting to the business end of the game now with quite a few teams in with a good chance of winning next week. Also several in line for the lowest score when the game is won. (Burnley ineligible to win this prize) There were quite a few default 2's scored this week but thankfully this didn't lead to the prize being won. The latest table is below, this weeks score in brackets. Check your team and if you think your score is wrong then let me know.

Next week I will be taking in the Torquay game and won't be back until Monday evening so there will be no update until then but you'll be able to see if anyone has won. If the game is won next week then I will send the prizes out on Monday evening.

Can't believe I bust with Southampton when I drew them I thought I'd be going for the booby prize. Well done who ever had PNE.

Well, I'm back from an enjoyable weekend away and we have an outright winner. Got to say unlucky to Mrs Mariner whose Southampton scored 8 to bust by 2 but the winning prize of £275 goes to Tony Mitchell with Preston North End. Not sure if Tony posts on here but he is a member of The Mariners Trust who took part. The £50 lowest prize is shared between Tranmere Rovers (Shaun The Sheep) and York City (Ivano Sandwich) who both scored only 8 goals. Prizes will be sent this evening.
