A bit of a long shot but does anyone out there have a wheelchair ramp that I could borrow for a few weeks.

The story is that my Mum has recently had a knee replacement op which has not gone to plan and they have found out that her kneecap is dislocated. They need to do another operation but can't do it until at least the middle of September.

My Mum can get around the house very slowly with the use of a walking frame but she cannot walk any distance at all without it and cannot get up or down any stairs. As we have a couple of steps up to our front door and 3 steep steps at the back she is literally housebound for the next month.

I have managed to borrow a wheelchair from a neighbour and did manage to get her out of the house last Sunday just to wheel her to The Wheatsheaf for Sunday lunch. It wasn't too bad getting her out of the house but it was a right palaver getting her back inside.

I just wondered if anyone had some sort of portable ramp I could borrow as it would make life a hell of a lot easier until she's back on her feet again.

pretty much bespoke items Les, depending on the height of step, run off area and direction. To be easy useable they need to be around 1 in 12 sloping so a 6" step equals a 6ft long ramp.
One sheet of 1" ply and a little bit of 4" x 2" can conjure something up.
