Disappointing but with Neilson back as well as Mackreth and Pittman, hopefully we'll get something.

That's a sodomist. I thought during pre-season that Arnold looked to be one of the most dangerous of the new signings so it's unfortunate he's been out so long already.

I noticed Liam Hearn mentioned in the telegraph today that he didn't start physio until four months post his last op and did most the rehab on his own- if he ain't lying that is an outrage.

Slightly concerned about our medical and fitness set up at present.

LJL probably gave them a kicking to keep his place in the side!

Me too, watched him a fair bit for Alfreton (albeit few times on the telly ! ;)) and was a very big fan of him even then !
So delighted we've now signed him (and not just saying it to be positive about new players either)
Just a shame he's still injured.

Hearn said his treatment with the Mansfield physio didn't start until then.

It might be wrong to think this, but I am really annoyed at these continuing injuries.   Even if it is irrational.  We are not getting the breaks since (and including) the final of the play-offs.

Surely some form of physiotherapy starts immediately after the op. Mind did each time. Lots of it you have to do on your own obviously, but I can't believe that he didn't have more than weekly supervised physio from the outset.

And indeed it is a real shame that Hannah and Arnold are not fit. It really restricts our forward options with very little variation allowed when choosing a starting pair and nothing much to come off the bench when you need to make a change.

A bad calf strain can take up to 4 months to heal correctly , Arnolds injury I don't think anything has been said , however seeing as he is on loan send him back if there's no indication of him playing .

Time now for the forwards we have to step up and make us smile .

It depends on the severity of the injury.   I had a calf strain whilst playing 5-aside its the only injury I've ever suffered to date.  I read up on it as it was quite painful i couldn't straighten my foot I had to leave it in a pointed position and when I tried to walk it was killing me. I thought at first it was a tear.  So I looked it up online and the recovery time was between 2-4 weeks for a strain but a tear was upto 4 months luckily for me I was back playing after 2 weeks.
