So Macclesfield, Bristol Rovers & Eastleigh bow out of the competition.
Grimsby, Torquay, Gateshead and Woking go through to the next round
Halifax & Kidderminster games postponed so will have to rearranged
Barnet and Wrexham have replays to arranged
Forest Green and Macclesfield both had a player sent off today.

When do the arranged and replays have to be played by?

This Tuesday am sure.

I believe Forest Green drew so they have a replay on Tuesday to arrange before they play us. Extra time and another sending off will do.

Anyone know why if Town v Nuneaton was to be decided today if drawing at 90 mins, but other clubs are having to replay?

Teams can agree before match to decide it on the day or go to a replay.

I think it shows a bit of ambition from both clubs who have greater targets at opposing ends of the table. Will be tough to persuade lower league teams to do it though.

Seeing as the gate was so tiny, has the club actually lost money on this game or does the home team have to guarantee expenses?

Fu*k it, let's go for it, 4? more matches, chance to play at Wembley, plays will be buzzing to try get in the team, players might want to join us in January with the chance to play at Wembley in March, and will give them massive confidence coming into last few months of the season.

Luton. York Cambridge all done it. So let's do it aswell

The top 10 teams in the conference with the highest attendances are Bristol Rovers, Wrexham, Grimsby, Lincoln, Stockport, Chester, Torquay, Aldershot, FCUM and Kiddy.

Bristol Rovers, Lincoln, Aldershot are already out. With the potential to see Chester, Kiddy and Wrexham all going out on Tuesday in there replays.

Can anyone honestly see a attendance of over 20,000 at Wembley? Anything less than a 20,000 gate would see us struggle to make over 100k.

we should try to win every game anything less is a insult to the fans who pay to watch , if we are good enough we will go up winning or losing in the trophy will make little difference

Providing it doesn't affect our promotion ambitions it is still a useful amount of cash to us. Anything that helps to stop out dependence on JF's money must be a good thing.

I would be surprised if Grimsby Town Football Club are not aware of the financial advantage of winning this trophy.

They need to sell this to the fans. Well done to those fans that attended the game at Nuneaton yesterday and helped to achieve the victory.

Of course they are aware we got the final 2 years ago so they know exactly what we got. Its a trophy only really going all out for if you get to the final though compare that with last years escapade which with other postponements i think ultimately assisted with our problems,  all those games crammed in at the end. Not saying dont give it a shot but is worthless if we keep doing well in it but stay non league. Its a distraction from the real aim and i dont want us to forget what that was from the day we went down.

The most salient point is that you can get a fixture backlog based on other team's runs in cup competitions. We have already had two games postponed because of other teams participation in the FA cup. Once the bad weather kicks in the chances of backlog builds even more. Last season postponed games due to weather contributed significantly to our backlog

Also why can't a profesional football team play 2 games a Week and Win in a  Mostly part Time League / Cup ?? . I also see 34% on the Poll want us to win the Trophy .

True but at least you've got a chance of having a free slot if you're not in it. If you are in it then it will wipe out league fixtures. The big clubs getting knocked out means more chance of drawing a tinpot output for which the few quid at stake actually means something and will won't agree to dropping a replay.

Don't talk yourself into the idea that the FAT is worth bothering with. It's not.

According to Sunday's NLP, they are the only team in the top 8 levels of English football, still unbeaten in the league.

They are not actually top of their league at the minute but do have 6 games in hand on the leaders Mertsham and are only 1 point behind them.

Fat lot of good the past two weeks rest have done us, I know we won but we were well short of match practice the more games the merrier,  and don`t let the Trophy be an excuse for not performing in the league'
Also its the chance for our players to fulfill their dreams of playing at Wembley, any thoughts other than this are selfish and backward thinking on our part IMO

I agree in this particular game it made sense to give the first team a run out, but in general the FAT comes in the busiest part of the season. The problem is the further on you go in it it gains an importance of its own. We'd be better off resting lots of players in subsequent rounds before it starts to become a distraction.

On the plus side we have already played 4 more games than we had done at this time last season so you would hope any fixture backlog will not be as bad as last season even with a prolonged run in the FAT
