Oh how the Mighty Mariners have declined over the last few years, now punching below our weight. But it's even harder to take when you watch pish potty clubs progress and start to realistically compete with Town.

It helps if 1 organisation buys 2000 tickets and gives them away. We could fill Blundell Park if someone did that here.

2000 free tickets given out to local junior football teams, forward thinking by attracting fans of the future.

Worst thing of all is that their 26 portaloos will be better and more modern than all our toilets.  :P

Yes, but whenever we try anything remotely like that Town put in the worst performance of the season and scare the poor buggers off

The club have given away loads of tickets to schools and hardly anyone bothers to use them!

Yeah, I wouldn't say that Eastleigh are punching above their weight. Instead (and similar to the likes of Crawley, Fleetwood and FGR), they are simply spending above their weight.

In this day and age it seems that few teams get promoted by simply investing reasonably in players and building a team from there. Even at Conference level, we've seen the Champions each season (Crawley, Fleetwood, Luton as well as Mansfield to a lesser extent) being the ones who are spending the most money.

Makes it kind of understandable why we haven't been challenging at the top every season, really, though we should certainly be doing better as part of the following pack.
