Sorry, missed that. Arnold dropped for his error on Friday or injured?

Tinkerman strikes again. Pittman scores and gets dropped. Out of form loan striker starts, with Amond who's had a great start to the season on the bench. Very poor team selection for me, but let's hope i'm made to look stupid come 9:45pm.

The less said about our best defender being stuck on the bench as we struggle to keep clean sheets, the better.

Agree. I'll give hurst the benefit of the doubt and presume that Amond isn't perhaps ready to be started again following his injury. Surprised to see Monkhouse start but he is a bit of a Manager's favourite. John Tondeur says that Arnold is injured. Mind you, he just enuinely said to BigChris "Would a draw be a fair result at this stage?", and the game hasn't even kicked off yet!!

Hmm! Hope the changes work.

Mackreth is better tracking back, so i can understand that one. Have to wait and see how the others pan out.

Surely the whole point of having such a good squad is that you can make these sort of changes to the team? Pitman did nothing except knock in a rebound, the loan striker looked pretty good to me in his cameo on Friday, and Amond has had a knock.

He doesn't put a team out to lose, does he? He must feel this is the best team on the night, but as you say we will see at 9.45. Of course, Wrexham might be trying to win too.

Don't mind the changes particularly though I guess it depends if Arnold is injured. Personally would have preferred Mackreth and Monkhouse for this one. If Amond is only half fit then better to have him on the bench and despite his goal I thought JPP was very poor the other night.

It doesn't matter what Hurst does or does not do he will always be wrong with some on here. He sees  the players in practice and off the pitch a lot more than any of us based on that expert knowledge and the opposing side he chooses his side. If we lose no doubt loads of snippers will have him well in their sights. UTM.

Oh give it a rest - people are just expressing their opinion on the team selection. They're allowed to do that. It's the same for all football managers and their selections.

Obviously Hurst has his squad and he knows what he wants and what condition individuals are in. Everyone else is just guessing.

Arnold did not look right second half on Friday and asked to be substituted.  JPP didn't look fully match fit so maybe Paul Hurst didn't want him playing 2 games in a week.  Have to trust his judgement as he works with the players day in day out.

Knew it'd be tough and commentators keep saying we struggling with their formation which is a worry. Gowling and Toto couple of casual moments, can't help but think Pearson wouldn't mess about.

Anyway, come on boys!

Tbh im more frustrated at the manager than the players so far.

They are playing a 4 3 3 which although its 0-0 they have been pretty much all over us , why cant we match it up and try to get the extra centre mid in there too ?

I just feel its these little decisions which whilst no guarantee it will work would certainly show he recognises we are struggling with there formation.

A point away at wrexham is usually a decent result but im sorry we need 3 tonight no ifs or buts.

Half time report.

excrement excrement excrement excrement and more excrement.

Not in the game till last 5 minutes. 4 shots all at the end of the half 2 on target neither was going in.

Monkhouse hasnt even got his magic touch tonight to save the fact ge cant move. Only redeem feature one nice pass Bogle cocked up and he is tracking back to defend.

Diser and clay are then when we attack but missing when we defend. Thats about it they are being bypassed mainly as we are hoofing it all the time for some unknown reason.

MacKreth and East pairing up well, defending from both sub par at times but going forward not bad, nice cross from MacKreth to set up one of our best chances.

Robertson having a poor game by his standards. Gowling and Toto are under alot of pressure.

As I've said previously Bogle is making it hard for himself and doesnt know how to partner up with Tomlinson.

One final thing, are we playing 442 or 451 I cant tell as neither Tomlinson or Monkhouse are staying in position

FFS, what negative posts?! People are just reacting to what they are seeing and hearing. Admittedly, sonofmadelymariner sounds the most pi$$ed off, but then he's there! Unless the commentary is completely wrong, it sounds like we've really hardly had a kick in that half, and have been generally second best in most if not all respects. What do you want people to do, other than react to that?! of course there'll be frustration and disappointment, as I'm sure there will be in the dressing room! The people moaning about so called 'negative' posts are more irritating than the moaners!

So i get a red for saying he won't change it no matter what before 60/70 mins, despite him never once in 4 years making a half time change. Don't you find it strange that he has never made a half time substitution, ever? Must be the only manager in the country who does that.

We could change a player or two or look at the system..? Or, we could just plod on hoping for the best until we concede, and then find a load of excuses. Centre midfield sounds particularly poor.

JT just said we need a Parslow to tighten it up.

I think it requires a Lenny style striker to hold it up once we get it away.

Don't think we are happy with a point, more that we have played so poorly we are getting away with a point.  That is a dissapointment in itself and not good enough.  Could of made a statement today but haven't.  Just hope we do get the point now.

Good draw but that's now 6 draws out of 12. Too many, just like last year and the year before but have to be content with a clean sheet and a point despite being outplayed for most of the game. Subs too lte yet again.

Sounded awful......usual case when playing a Mill's in having limited possession and only sounded improved when we matched up the midfield. A good point on paper but the teams we want to catch are dropping points and draws are of limited use to us.

Good point.

Also good to see the FGR bubble has burst. 8 points dropped in three games.

On the other hand we are not playing like title contenders. Still looking like another play off season at best.

Frustrating but well played town, we are hard to Beat which will stand us in good steed. 3 points on Saturday and that would be 12 points in 6 games .

Positives.... We've kept a clean sheet.

Fgr haven't gained anymore points on us.

Unbeaten in 5.

Roll on Saturday.

Yep 4 wins in 12 shows a statement of intent.

A draw away at wrexham is usually a good result if you win your home games and are doing well.

The performance was dissapointing tonight and i make no apologies in saying its just not good enough.

Glad to see a clean sheet - at long last! A good point but, judging by the comments on here, a crappy performance.

One thing which is a bit confusing is that people are saying McKeown had a good game for us, but the BBC web site doesn't think Wrexham had an effort on target! Have they buggered up the match stats as usual?

Should start Marshall and Podge on Saturday. Podge compliments Bogle better than any of the others. Bogle has immense talent and could play as high as the Premier league. He's quick and strong but his decision making is often very poor, his touch is often woeful and even though he's scored 7 goals his finishing has to be more lethal, and he's got to get his head right.

Macca had a good game clearing up through balls made a world class save for their free kick, threw himself in to get hold of the ball

HOWEVER we played awfully and Monkhouse needs to be dropped to rest, when he's fit he is fantastic, also amond needs to be with Bogle...
