Canaries Eye Jack

Canaries like the look of Super Jack

News From 12th January 2000

Division One club Norwich City are on the verge of tabling a £750K bid for wantaway Town striker Jack Lester

Canaries boss Bruce Rioch has been given £1m to find a replacement for Darren Eadie who has just moved from Norwich to Premiership Leicester City in a £3.5m deal.

If Lester does leave then Daryl Clare will be recalled from a loan spell at Northampton that has just been extended to three months (with a call-back clause).

Norwich themselves have several unsettled front players. Much-travelled Iwan Roberts is out of contract at the end of the season, and Paul Dalglish has been a huge disappointment with the Carrow Road faithful.
