New Kit Debut

News From 26th June 2000

Ivano

Grimsby Town's players will don their new kit for the first time in the friendly against Ivano Bonetti's Dundee on Friday, July 21st.

It should be a great game, with each and every Grimsby fan in the ground no doubt keen to see Ivano's face again, and hopefully his mesmerising ball skills too. The Scottish side have approached the club for permission to sport a huge flag measuring 80ft x 40ft at the away end of the ground. That end is likely to be fully populated by a large contingent from Dundee, whose fans seem to have taken on Ivano as their new "saviour" in a manner reminiscent of the Grimsby fans' attitude towards him during his time at Blundell Park.
