Smith Back in Reserve Win

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 15/11/2000

Richard Smith staged the latest chapter of his long comeback, playing today in the reserve game at Wrexham, a match which the Town second string won 1-0 with striker Daryl Clare scoring the winning goal for the Grimsby team.

Smith has been suffering from a hip injury for the last 2 months, following 6 months out of action after an operation on his back.

Smith has laterally resumed training again following his hip injury and plans to get a few reserve games under his belt before contemplating a return to first team action again.
