Wimbledon Match On

Following a pitch-inspection this afternoon, a Wimbledon FC spokesman has confirmed that tonight's Nationwide Division One fixture between Wimbledon and Grimsby Town will go ahead as planned. Doubts had been raised over the fixture after torrential overnight rain in South London.

The game goes ahead at the third time of asking after earlier postponements due to international call-ups and circuitry problems at Selhurst Park. A further postponement looked almost certain last night after Crystal Palace were forced to cancel their Worthington Cup tie with Sunderland at Selhurst Park. Both Steve Livingstone and Stacey Coldicott look set to return for the Mariners in this evening's clash after both recovering from back injuries. Grimsby Town (probable; 4-3-1-2); Coyne - Fostervold, Butterfield, Groves, Smith - Coldicott, Burnett, Campbell - Donovan - Livingstone, Nielsen.
