New Kit Unveiled!

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 30/06/2001

GRIMSBY TOWN Football Club's new replica kits arrived at Blundell Park today, and are now on general sale in the club shop. The new home strip is available on-line, with the adult shirt costing just £34.99, and the junior version priced at £29.99.

The shirt can be seen modelled below by Vikki, the club's official model who, reflecting the Mariner's new cosmopolitan feel, hails from Denmark. Click on the thumbnail to view a larger picture of the new shirt. The back of the shirt this year is all black, as can be seen in the photo.

"...It's a bit different from what we've had before ..."

Town's Commercial Manager Tony Richardson, commenting on the shirt's design, told Mariners Net: "It's a bit different from what we've had before. I personally am particularly excited as I've been involved in the design from start to finish. It is a completely new shirt, but at the same time it is in keeping with the club's traditional black and white stripes."

Mr Richardson also expressed his delight that the club has knocked £5 off last season's prices, making Grimsby Town's shirt one of the cheapest in the First Division, and considerably cheaper than the likes of Manchester United's wares.

The new kit can be purchased on-line at the Mariners club shop.
