JUST a quick note to all the villagers who have become a little confused with the new tape we have in stock. The Village Hall's annual video this year, called "The Village Hall Log", is not in fact a log!
This matter arose when I organised an evening last month to watch this video at my house. When nobody turned up, I confronted a Mr D Coyne about nobody coming to watch the "Village Hall Log". He simply replied "who's going to pay 50p to watch a log, when you can get an axe and chop a tree down?"
This answer clearly shows that there is much confusion about the name of this video. The video is basically the same as the village hall's previous highlight tapes, but with a different name, hence the title "Village Hall Log".
So I propose that we have an evening on the 20th November at 6pm when everyone comes round to "Rattle Along Cottage" (my house) and watches it. The cost is just 50p (including tea and biscuits), so I hope to see you all there!
