Management Pair Meet the Board

GRIMSBY TOWN Chairman Peter Furneaux and the board met this afternoon with the Mariners' new management team of Paul Groves and Graham Rodger to discuss the future. Furneaux was upbeat after the informal discussion, telling Mariners Net: "It was an extremely positive meeting."

"It was the first opportunity that I, and a number of other Board members have had to sit down with Paul and Graham. The pair of them have very good ideas. It was a general chat about the Manager's plans and about keeping the club in this division," said the Town Chairman.

"Paul and Graham have good ideas. The board now awaits the recommendations that our management team will put to us, and as always the Board will support the Manager."

Furneaux stated shortly after new Grimsby manager Paul Groves took over that some money would be available to him in order to bring in new players, either in the transfer market or on loan. Groves now has the task of identifying and then persuading potential players to make the move to Blundell Park at a price that is acceptable to the GTFC board.
