ALAN NEILSON looks set to join third division club Luton after being released by Town as part of Paul Groves' attempts to trim the wage bill at Blundell Park. The former Wales international was set to play for the Luton's Reserves today

He is very hopeful of securing a deal at Kenilworth Road said the Grimsby Telegraph. He travelled to Luton last night to talk about his future and stayed to watch them take on Bristol Rovers. Neilson played just 12 games for Town after joining on a free transfer from Fulham, but is keen to relocate to the south of England to be nearer his young family.
