A Delay In Extending Todd's Loan

GRIMSBY Town will not be able to take steps to hang on to centre-back Andy Todd until later this week says the Grimsby Telegraph. Paul Groves will be speaking to Alan Curbishley with a view to extending the loan, but he will have to wait to see if Charlton's defenders are OK after last night's game

The Telegraph said that Charlton won at Tottenham last night and Curbishley will want to assess the fitness of his defenders before making a decision on whether Todd can continue on loan.

And his top-notch performances will no doubt have alerted bigger clubs who may be interested.

Groves said: "Circumstances are going to dictate. With the players off today it will be Wednesday or Thursday before I catch up with him really."

"Andy Todd has enjoyed his time here."

Colin Todd watched his son from the stands at Molineux and when asked if he knew why he was playing so well and hitting the goal trail he said "It's because he's enjoying his football again."
