Chettle Joins Town!

PAUL Groves has brought a new player to the club today with the signing of Steve Chettle. Formerly with Nottingham Forest, the 33-year-old centre back played for Barnsley last season.

Birth Date: 27.09.1968 (33)
Playing Position: Defender
Clubs: Nottm Forest, Barnsley
International Honours: England - U21's (12)

"I spoke to Paul Groves for the first time directly this morning." revealed Chettle, who will put pen to paper on a one year deal pending a medical. "I only spoke with him a little while, but after two minutes I decided to sign."

It is also expected that another player will also be joining the Mariners today.
