GRIMSBY Town have brought several new trialists to Blundell Park who will be given the chance to play in Wednesday's Reserve game against Hartlepool.

The trialists are:

  • Danny Self, a full back from Norwich
  • Wayne Gill, (top) a midfielder from Oldham
  • Kevin George, a left winger
  • Jimmy Ghaichem, a midfielder from Mansfield
  • Andy Kelly, a defender from Middlesborough

The new trialists join recent arrivals Ricky Allaway, Arnaud le Francois and Nathan Fleetwood vying for a place against the Cleveland outfit in a bid to stake a claim for a contract with the Mariners, who have had several loan moves collapse in recent days, and desperate to bring in some new faces.

  • MICK Boulding today had a scan on the ankle injury which kept him out of Saturday's defeat at Portsmouth. The former Villa player hopes to be back in time to play in Saturday's massive fixture against relegation rivals Stoke City at Blundell Park.
