"No disrespect to the likes of Grimsby..."

The Walkers Stadium

Few clubs will envy Leicester City, relegated last season less than a year after mortgaging future media revenues for £28m to help fund a new stadium. For the foreseeable future, that stadium will host Preston and Grimsby rather than Arsenal and Manchester United."

The Grimsby Entrepreneur's Feng Shui

From: Rising Dragon Feng Shui.

North East Lincolnshire is a small but diverse area on the east coast of the UK where the Humber estuary meets the North Sea. The adjoining towns of Grimsby and Cleethorpes form the largest centres of population, with the major container port of Immingham to the north. Rising Dragon Feng Shui went to Grimsby to meet a man striving to boost local business so we could look at how Feng Shui in Grimsby can support businesses and share ideas.

Malaysian born Chinese, Tet Ho founded the Grimsby based eMarketing company, b2b Commerce Ltd. and has served as its director for eight years. Their recent work has won a number of Lincolnshire based firms marketing awards at a national level and has proved highly successful.

"We focus on providing internet solutions with a commercial focus" states Tet, "and we are very serious about helping our customers get ahead. Although the traditional fishing industry of Grimsby declined from the 70s, other industries flourished. Today, Grimsby is known for food and remains one of the country's biggest fish markets. There are many small businesses here, and as a Chinese, I understand the significant role Feng Shui plays in creating success".

The study of business Feng Shui is a different discipline from the study of residential Feng Shui. For example in the Far East it is common for Feng Shui masters to charge a fee of around $3,000 for locating the desk of the owner. While this seems a shocking sum of money to some Westerners, this really is money well spent as having the most essential seat masterfully placed will help secure success in career and business. This is particularly evident in small businesses and for the self employed where success may depend on the fortune of one individual. Bad Feng Shui will make you slow, mentally impair your judgement and over time depression and negativity will take hold. It is often a slow, painful downhill spiral towards financial insolvency. Positioning the desk is not an easy calculation to make as only a well trained consultant will know how to generate success for you. Fortunately for you we don't charge a bank breaking fee of $3,000... yet!

Some points required to position the desk like avoiding sitting directly facing the door or too far from the wall are relatively straightforward. However you should also know that one will need to use either one's most auspicious direction from the twelve two hour periods, or failing that one must at least use one's 'peaceful' directions. The physical move itself must only be made on a lucky date and should take place within an auspicious hour. As you can see there is so much complexity for just one part of the Feng Shui audit!

I Love Grimsby, Give it a chance!

From dooyou.

Grimsby is a town, which is always put down with out a reason. Grimsby has everything to offer, even more! I was born in Grimsby maternity Hospital and was bought up in Grimsby and still live here just a few years on. When all the dramatic changes went on in Grimsby I was still very young but I have still seen a big change.

Grimsby was once a small village, which was founded by Mr Grim as which, the name Grimsby came. His statue is now stood in the grounds of Grimsby College - with a few parts missing.

Grimsby is known for drunken louts, robberies and crime but where doesn't it go on. Grimsby is the luckiest place for doing the lottery with a recorded number of 3 winners in the same town and a football team which has had 2 trips to Wembley and won both so can't be bad eh? People living in Grimsby are seen as having a road to nowhere as there are little jobs and a train line which rightly ends in Cleethorpes.

Grimsby and Cleethorpes are known as 1 town and why not, it takes minutes to get to Cleethorpes lovely beach to Grimsby town.

Cleethorpes beach is known as somewhere to KEEP WAY FROM, but WHY??? I took a visit down there last summer to find out. Well, there was no sewage left on the shoreline, No rubbish and no dog poo so what's wrong? I couldn't see anything. There were children playing in the water and woman and men sunbathing on the beach, ENJOYING THEMSELVES.

Grimsby had a large amount of scabby old building and flats which was a terrible site but they have been pulled down and been rebuild with houses or been redone in a modern way, lifts, painted walls instead of old and cold concrete.

Grimsby's also has a great shopping centre, great for anyone! It has all the top stores like , House of Fraser, Boots, Topshop etc and small ones like Shoe Fayre where you go for the bargains. Grimsby is also looking forward to the newest HMV around. The Freshney Place is a huge building with its own multi story car park and huge selection of shops and even its own market so you can never say to can't find anything.

Grimsby is also known for its Fish docks. They do great jobs because the fish and chips are wonderful. Try them if you can one day. People go on about the smell but my dad works there and when we go to get him, I can hardly smell a thing. So Grimsby's a great town, worth a look one day!!! Give it the chance to show you what its got!
