Town Signing Scunny Winger?

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 27/05/2003

Former Scunthorpe United right winger Scott Brough is rumoured to be signing for Grimsby Town a month after being released by United.

Brough joined Barrow on loan after becoming frustrated by lack of first team action at Glanford Park.

A spokesman at Barrow said; "It looks as though Scott Brough has secured a contract with Grimsby. I was hopeful that we would have been able to get him on board, but he's a good prospect and Grimsby are a little bit bigger than us."

Brian Laws rated Brough and said he had a great future. (but not at Glanford Park it seems)

Scott Brough(19) is described as a real pocket battleship on the right hand side of midfield and very fast.
