Ten Heuvel and Cas Show The Way!

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 27/07/2003

DUTCH trialist Laurens Ten Heuvel scored an impressive goal in the Mariners' 2-1 win over Boston United yesterday. Ten Heuvel, who is looking to sign for Town, did his bid no harm with a powerful header just before half time.

The Mariners Net report says "Marcel Cas was Town's best player in the first half with some probing runs down the right" which bodes well for Town.

Home town player Johnny Rowan scored the winning goal and he too has done his cause no harm.

Town: Davison, Cas, Parker, Edwards, Wheeler, Bolder, Campbell, Groves, Boulding, Ten Heuvel, Hockless.

Ten Heuvel told Mariners Net that he was happy with his goalscoring debut at Boston and would jump at the chance of a contract at Town saying; "I like to try and score goals. I thought me and Michael worked well together and it went okay."

"I want be involved again. I just want to play and I will see what happens at Grimsby.

"Sheffield United put me on the transfer list, so I don't know what is going to happen, Of course I would like to come to Grimsby. This is a good club, they play good football and I would like to join them."
