GRIMSBY Town featured in a reserve match against Halifax today, in which new signing Glen Downey went off injured with a turned ankle.

This could be a disaster for manager Russell Slade as he only signed Downey yesterday on a season long loan to replace injured Rob Jones.

It was not a good day all round with the Town team going down 3-2 to Halifax with Hockless scoring from a penalty and Soames scoring the second in the second half.

Town Team:

1. Paul Fraser
2. Clint Marcelle
3. Nick Heggerty
4. Kirk Wheeler
5. Andy Mumford
6. Glen Downey
7. David Soames
8. Ashley Hildred
9. Darren Watson
10. Graham Hockless
11. Dan Bulley

12. Liam Parker
13. Andy Ward
14. Nick Smith
15. Danny North
16. Miles Chamberlain
