Cramb Still In Picture?

THE Shropshire Star says that Shrewsbury are awaiting a call from Grimsby Town to see if Slade is pursuing his interest in striker Colin Cramb.

The Star said; "The 30-year-old marksman played on trial for the Mariners in a reserve game against York City on Tuesday and had a hand in setting up all three goals in a 3-2 win."

The temperamental forward has been told he is surplus to requirements at Gay Meadow with boss Jimmy Quinn questioning the player's response to being dropped from the team.

Assistant boss Dave Cooke said: "By all accounts he played very, very well for for Grimsby."

With Slade looking to sign a defender to take the place of injured Simon Ramsden, his budget may not stretch to sign Cramb.

On the other hand…………….. Who knows?
