How long before new manager arrives?
Forbes Walks Free!
By: Rob Sedgwick
TERRELL Forbes, along with his codefendants, walked free from Kingston Crown Court today after being found not guilty of rape. The former QPR defender had been accused of gang-raping a 15-year-old girl, but the case was dismissed after her evidence was ruled by the judge as "unreliable".
Grimsby are now hoping to sign Forbes, who left Rangers to join Grimsby on a week-to-week contract shortly before the case came to court, on a new deal which will keep the accomplished defender at Blundell Park until at least the end of the season.
Town boss Russell Slade told Radio Humberside: "We'll obviously be speaking to Terrell and his agent asking them to at least pledge their future to the football club until the end of the season".
