Two New Trialists In Squad Tomorrow Night

By: Bill Osborne
Date: 26/07/2005

RUSSELL Slade will be having a look at two players at Doncaster tomorrow night. One is former Liverpool and Tranmere player, Alan Navarro, and the other is an unknown African.

Both are on trial at Blundell Park.

Mariners Net says; "Alan Navarro was expected to achieve great things at Premiership giants Liverpool after rising through the ranks at Anfield.

However, he found first team opportunities hard to come by and spent loan spells at Crewe and Tranmere before making the move to Prenton Park for £225,000 in January 2002.

Navarro won the reserve league championship while at Anfield and was on the bench for a couple of games in Liverpool's successful UEFA Cup run during the 2000/2001 season."
