TOWN'S Foreign Legion is one member fewer after the club decided not to pursue French midfielder Kevin Tunani, who had been on trial at Blundell Park.

The 21-year-old former Bordeaux player appeared in last week's reserve win at home to Middlesbrough but did not sufficiently impress Town boss Mike Newell to be offered a contract.

Grimsby have three French speaking players in the squad, and also have had others on trial.

The Mariners are still hopeful Greek trialist Nicholas Chrysanthou will feature in Wednesday's reserve game at Rotherham if he receives international clearance in time.
