Beat the Bookies: Week 28

THE long losing sequence finally came to an end last week, unfortunately at the expense of the Mariners after our spread bet recommendation to buy Bury came up trumps.

Darlington v Grimsby. On paper it's very hard to see past a home win on this one, although players coming back for Town may improve our prospects, and Grimsby may have a chance of getting a low-scoring draw at 3/1. Selection: Draw
Aldershot v Morecambe. Neither of these sides are going anywhere this season, but Aldershot's bubble has well and truly burst. Morecambe are a solid team and more than capable of taking advantage of the Hampshire club's malaise. The Shrimpers can be backed at what seems a very generous 11/4. Selection: Morecambe
Barnet v Bradford. Town have played both these sides recently and both on the day played better than us. Barnet dropped their dodgy 'keeper straight after our 3-3 draw. Although they lost last weekend, their home form has not been bad and they have had several draws against the top sides. Bradford are obviously favourites after a string of impressive results but then big sides like Bradford have been losing at places like Underhill since time immemorial, and Barnet are a better side than their league position would suggest. Go for a home win at 5/2. Selection: Barnet

- Spread Betting on the Mini Performance Index with IG Index (25 points for a win, 10 for a draw, 10 for a goal)
- The Monkey (betting on Town to win each game 3-1, i.e. the complete absence of any betting strategy).
