Beat the Bookies: Week 17

ANOTHER week, another couple of close games but not quite the right results for our tips to come in. Like Town, Beat the Bookies is finding it difficult to pick a winner at the moment.

Notts County v Accrington Stanley. Notts County's plans are in tatters after being put up for sale and it must be a bitter blow to everyone associated with the club. They've still got lots of good players but a lot of them must be wondering about their future. They are facing one of the division's in-form teams are quite simply Stanley are a must bet at 7/1 with Sky Bet. Selection: Accrington
Macclesfield v Hereford. Macclesfield are on a Town-like run, rarely winning and picking up quite a few draws. Hereford are inconsistent but usually dispatch the weaker teams in this division. The bookies make Macclesfield the favourites, which feels a little bit wrong. You can back the bulls at 7/4 Selection: Hereford
Shrewsbury v Grimsby. Shrewsbury and Grimsby nearly always draw, Grimsby nearly always draw. It's got to be a draw! What's more you can get 13/5. You can't turn it down. Can you? Selection: Draw
Torquay v Darlington. Torquay have a big cup game in midweek following this fixture. On paper the Gulls should win, but they are bound to have the thoughts on getting into the FA Cup 3rd round. Darlo may just spring a surprise. The Quakers are 5/1 on Sky Bet. Don't miss out. Selection: Darlington
Chesterfield v Cheltenham. Chesterfield have lost their last three games and Cheltenham's recent results suggest they are a team on the up. 9/2 is worth a sniff. Selection: Cheltenham
