Chambers Joins On Loan

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 21/01/2010

LEICESTER striker Ashley Chambers has joined the Mariners on loan until the end of the season. The 19-year-old has represented England at various levels, and made his Foxes debut at the age of 15. He had made 6 appearances for City as well as three at Wycombe, where he went on loan earlier this season.

Chambers scored a scored a hat-trick for England at under-17 level on his debut against the Faroe Islands in 2005, and has also scored twice against Andorra.

Chambers has scored one goal in senior football when he was at Wycombe.

Grim Rob Says: Town have a history of making season-changing loan signings at this stage of the season, so let's hope Neil Woods has pulled a rabbit out of the hat. We certainly need one!
