Devitt to Extend Loan

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 22/03/2010

WINGER Jamie Devitt has agreed for his loan spell from Hull City to be extended to the end of the season. The right-sided 19-year-old has scored three goals since arriving at Blundell Park, and scored the Mariners' opener in the 3-2 win over Bournemouth on Saturday.

Devitt is expected to sign the loan extension before Thursday's loan deadline.

Meanwhile Hull City 'keeper Mark Oxley has gone back to the KC Stadium to reduce the Mariners quota of loan players. Town are only able to use five on a match day, and they did have seven including the rookie 'keeper. Oxley made just one appearance for Town in the lacklustre 2-0 reverse at Dagenham in February.

Neil Woods is not expecting for the Mariners to bring in any more players before Thursday meaning Town will have to make do with what they have now for the rest of the season.
