Naylor the Sailor!

DERBY defender Tom Naylor has joined Grimsby on loan until the end of the season. Naylor is not eligible for Saturday's FA Trophy game at Dartford but is free to play for Grimsby starting on Tuesday against Ebbsfleet. Naylor is a centre back who can also fill in at right back.

It's not clear whether the 21-year-old former Mansfield trainee has been brought in as cover for Miller and Pearson, the latter who is close to a suspension, or whether he will start games for Grimsby. Town have a packed run in until the end of April so are looking to be able to rotate players with the games coming thick and fast.

Naylor, has played eight games for Nigel Clough's side in the Championship, and recently has a loan spell with Bradford, where he made seven appearances. His last start for Derby was in a 5-5 draw with Scunthorpe in the Capital One Cup.

An anonymous Derby fan told the Fishy: "Naylor is a good right back you have a bargain there, he can also play in middle of defence. Played a couple of times for us, he was impressive. I cant understand why they have loaned him out."
