Beat the Bookies: Week 32

ANOTHER successful week saw three winners out of five, all at fairly long odds. Pick of the bunch was Wednesday's win at Leicester which came in at 5/1.

Grimsby take on Cambridge trying to avenge two straight defeats. Cambridge have nothing to play for so you'd expect Town to win but nerves are bound to be a factor after the last two games. Best sit on the fence for this one.

Championship

  • Sheff Wed v Cardiff - home win (3.2, Boylesports). Wendy have beaten Leicester and Palace recently so obviously are capable of toppling the top clubs. Cardiff are definitely wobbling - their only wins in last six were against bottom feeders Wolves and Bristol City.

    League One

  • Doncaster v Portsmouth - away win (7.0, Boylesports). Pompey are playing with the desperation of condemned men, they suffered a narrow defeat last time at Orient, but had two wins before that. Donny are obviously favourites but the value is all with the away win or possibly draw.

  • Brentford v Preston - away win (4.33, Ladbrokes). Looking at the recent form and ignoring the league table there is not much to choose between these two teams. PNE have had good results in their last four games with Notts County, Stevenage, MK Dons and Swindon, so Brentford shouldn't pose a problem.

    League Two

  • Accrington Stanley v Barnet - away win (3.05, Marathon). Barnet's recent form is much better than fellow strugglers Accrington. Stanley have picked up just 5 point from 6 games, while Barnet have 10 over the same period.

    Blue Square Premier League

  • Woking v AFC Telford - away win (5.0, 888 Sport). Woking have 49 points and are destined for mid-table mediocrity which was their aim for the season. Everyone can relax now they are not going down. Telford on the other hand look doomed. They need to win games, and lots of them, and this is a very winnable game against a club with nothing to play for and with thoughts already turning to the summer.
