Town Handed Home Draw

By: Rob Sedgwick
Date: 14/10/2013

GRIMSBY have been drawn at home to Rushall Olympic in the Fourth Qualifying Round of the FA Cup, thus avoiding the bigger names in the competition. The winner will go through to the First Round proper of the most famous cup competition in the world.

Rushall is a former mining village near Walsall and their football team play in the Evo-Stik League Premier Division, two levels beneath Town. Rushall lost to Gainsborough in the 2nd Qualifying Round but were re-instated as Gainsborough played an ineligible player and then surprisingly won at Stockport on Saturday. A tie at Blundell Park will be a great draw for a small club in their position.

Town have a 0% record against part time teams this season, so will take nothing for granted!
