Grimsby will welcome back three players from suspension this weekend, after Livingstone, Pouton and Willems were all absent last week in Grimsby's 1-0 defeat to Gillingham. This gives boss Lennie Lawrence a number of options as the team is now almost to full strength.

The only injury problems being with Bloomer and Clare is good news for Town but there are some questions about Handyside and Butterfield.

But today, Lennie Lawrence said he will field the side that were so convincing in the Portsmouth win but Gallimore is not fit enough to start despite playing a Reserves match on Wednesday night.

Willems will replace Coldicott with Kevin Donovan down the right and Michael Jeffrey partnering Livingstone up front. Town manager Lawrence commented, "This is going to be the team that I think is best equipped to win at home."

The latest news is that once again, Bradley Allen will be left out.

Grimsby Town: Coyne, McDermott, D Smith, Enhua, Groves, Donovan, Burnett, Willems, Campbell, Livingstone, Jeffrey, Croudson, Coldicott, Handyside, Pouton, Black, Rowan, Raven, Gallimore.

Burnley

Burnley have suffered two defeats in a row now, but last week were unlucky against Crystal Palace. They lost but deserved something better. They played fine football with a lot of possession, but in the end they just tired out.

Lee Briscoe

Lee Briscoe (pictured, left) who has had a long-term injury has now been ruled out from making his first appearance for some time. Lee is a vital player for the Clarets and will be sorely missed.

Ronnie Jepson will also be absent through a calf injury but Kevin Ball and Paul Cook have returned to action after missing training with a flu bug. Both are expected to face the Mariners. Mitchell Thomas a key defender, who was suspended for the match against Crystal Palace, will also return.

A former Grimsby player is also expected at Blundell Park, Paul Crichton is in the squad. But the goalie is expected to start on the bench. Also Lennie Lawrence's former disciple from Luton Phil Gray is in the Burnley squad, the Northern Ireland international who was linked with Grimsby earlier this season.
