The Fishy - Grimsby Town FC

Question of the Week

Who will go down?

Relegation Beckons

I recently saw four Town games while over for a holiday and what I saw was very discouraging. First I saw us beat a very lacklustre Coventry side, then we were completely outplayed by Sheffield Utd in the cup only to win on penalties. I still don't know how we got a point from Forest.

It would have been a rout except for Coyne. The performance at Crystal Palace was disgraceful and dare I say that 5-0 was flattering. Let's be totally honest, the club is not Division One standard, either in the fan support or the antiquated ground we play on. Grimsby have the lowest fan support in the First Division.

This squad will do well to survive in Div Two. I feel sorry for Lennie Lawrence, his hands are tied by a board with no money or imagination. It is time for the supporters to acknowledge the inevitable: relegation.

Have you got a point to make or want to get something off your chest? Want space to air your views? The Fishy is your soapbox if you want it to be!
