Town Drawn At Home In 1st Round Of Worthy Cup!

IN the Worthington Cup draw today, the Mariners are pitted against Chesterfield at home, to be played on Tuesday the 10th of September.

Although some pundits discount the value of the Worthington cup, for clubs in the Nationwide League, this season's comp will have particular significance.

With the loss of TV money, clubs that can manage a good run in this comp will hope to retrieve some of the lost income from TV through additional gate income and that makes the Worthington Cup a much sought after prize.

Bristol Rovers and Boston United will have to play a qualifying game to enter the first round.
